Dr. Jana Cox
Dr. Cox’s work focuses on the response of the lower Rhine and Maas rivers to climate change and sea level rise. As more people live and work in deltas, they increasingly are becoming altered and affected as we develop them and engineer them for our own use. Her focus is how these changes affect morphology (the channels, bars, and delta evolution) and sediment dynamics (delivery, sediment type, distribution) of estuaries and deltas. She uses numerical modelling, experiments, and field data to answer these questions.
