School Contribution

The contribution to school costs part covers the following:

Locker (administration, repairs, access, etc.)
Postage to families (reports, letter, etc.)
Photocopying for students (additional credit to be purchased from the Office when allowance is used)
Exams at Christmas and Summer
Webtexts to homes
Production of Student Journal
Student Project Maths copy
Student Retreats (not 5th Year)
Outside speakers’ fees
Junior and Senior Library upkeep
Special Educational Needs resources
Classroom Whiteboard materials
Daily overhead costs (gas, telephone, ESB, cleaning equipment, repairs, rates, furniture, kitchen upkeep, etc.)

As the expense to the school far surpasses the contribution requested, a thorough breakdown of costs is difficult to achieve.

Please not that the Department of Education and Skills grants do not cover school overheads and the school relies on families to commit to voluntary contributions and fundraising efforts to meet costs.

The school management and fees are under ongoing review by the Board of Management.
